For more than 50 years, the Children’s Clinic has had a rich tradition of being one of the premiere providers of healthcare for the children of South Texas. In 1952, Joseph Oshman, M.D. recognized the need for affordable and accessible pediatric healthcare in the Coastal Bend. Dr. Oshman decided to relocate his family to Corpus Christi from Galveston and began building his practice.

We have been taking care of children in this community since 1952 and you can take comfort in knowing that your children will be receiving the best medical care from some of the most experience doctors around. Scheduling a New Patient Appointment
To schedule an appointment with the Children’s Clinic, call one of our five locations. All well child appointments are scheduled first thing in the morning and afternoon in an effort to keep healthy children separated from sick children in the waiting areas. If you would like to schedule your appointment with a specific Children’s Clinic physician, we will make every effort to accommodate your request if an appointment is available and the physician is on your insurance plan. However, if his/her schedule is full, we will schedule you with one of our other trained medical professionals.
What to bring to your office visit
Parents of all new patients, whether newborns or older children, are asked to complete new patient registration forms prior to their first appointment. To save time in the waiting room, please take the time to print and fill out these forms before your first visit.
Remember to bring your current insurance card to all appointments. This will allow us to verify your benefits and expedite your appointment. If you child is taking any medications, please bring all current medications to the appointment to discuss with the physician.
